Aqua Water, the basis of life! it helps to mix & bind things together.
Cetearyl alcohol Amazing at softening your hair, with a fringe benefit that it gives slip while hydrating, which allows us to detangle our hair better.
Glycerin A top dog in humectants, humectants help retain moisture — which, for us natural hair girls is a godsend. Our hair is so naturally dry, we need all the moisture we can get! One of the ways in which humectants help moisturize our hair is by grabbing the moisture that’s naturally in the air.
Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil This 100% natural ingredient is used as a nourishing agent and formula stabilizer. The natural proteins in the hair bind with the fatty acids in coconut oil to protect it from breakage.
Cetrimonium chloride This conditioning agent is used to provide manageability and allow for easy detangling; it is partially derived from coconut and palm kernel.
Guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride This is an organic blend that is a water-soluble derivative of guar gum. It gives conditioning properties to shampoos.
Hydrolised soy protein A water soluble protein derived from soy that will strengthen hair & mends hair fibers. Also increases hairs ability to hold moisture while adding shine & smoothness.
Phenoxyethanol Used as a preservative in ‘Yes’ products to limit bacterial growth. Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil It is thought that jojoba oil can prevent hair loss. Jojoba Seed Oil is also a great emollient, bringing elasticity to the hair. It’s also said to have a second-to-none “keratoplastic” effect—the ability to give hair an almost plastic-like sheen that leaves it shimmering, and brings out its natural color tones and brilliance.
Chamomila recutita (matricaria) flower/leaf/stem extract Helps bind moisture to the hair, one of its components is a substance called bisabolol, which helps soften and make hair suppler.
Ccucumis sativus (cucumber) fruit extract The juice is composed largely of proteins, lipids, Vitamin C, and a variety of minerals, and retains moisturising wealth galore! Salvia sclarea (clary) oil Superb for its qualities in strengthening hair, but better than that Clary sage has an ester called linalyl acetate, which reduces skin and scalp inflammations & heals rashes while regulating the production of natural oils in the skin. AMAZING!
Pogostemon cablin (patchouli) oil A very effective natural oil derived from patchouli leaves, to help with simple dandruff & balancing oily hair.
Benzyl alcohol A preservative which protects Yes products from spoiling by destroying microorganisms.
Citric acid Used as a pH buffer (to adjust the pH so it isn’t too alkaline-y) in ‘Yes’ products.
